The resulting order was determined bya weighted point system. Points were allocated for each slot, starting at 100 for No. 1 overall and decreasing by increments of four from 2-25. A No. 2 vote received 96 points, No. 3 received 92 points, and so on. A player'sscore was then calculated out of 1,000 po sible points.
Who's eligible?Any player 24 years old or youngeras of Oct. 3, 2018, the first day of the NHL's 2018-19 regular season schedule. Theyalso must be under contract with an NHL team or within theorganization. There wasno minimum or maximum standard forexperience. Players receiving votes varied widelyin NHL games played,from zero to 400.
