MILAN, Italy, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- More than 35 years have passed since Paolo Panerai, chief-editor and CEO of Italian media group Class Editori, had a conversation with late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, and his affection for China today is stronger than ever.

Panerai wrote The new million - published both in Italian and Chinese - to celebrate the friendship between the two countries, which has deepened over the years and was further reinforced by the visit of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang to Italy on the occasion of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) held in Milan last month.

"That China does not exist anymore. It was a China with many romantic aspects, but also with the extraordinary main objective to bring wellness to millions of people, which is what I learnt from my conversation with Deng," he explained.
